Yesterday we were fortunate enough to work with Aspire 2be who are a leading ed tech company. Simon Pridham and Martyn Hancock spent the day helping us craft a vision for digital technology at Cornist. They then hosted a 'Freaked Out Parents Evening' which all our parents and grandparents were invited to. The evening began with a presentation by Simon followed by curry, rice and chips! Our pupils then hosted a speed learning event to teach parents how to use digital technology at home. Speed learning stations included:
* eCadets
* Purple Mash
* Twitter
* Minecraft in education
* Using the web
* Digital reading
* iPad tips & tricks
* Useful apps
* Scratch & 2Code
It was was a very successful evening with lots of positive feedback. Here are a couple of comments from our Twitter feed:
'@cornistpark @Aspire2Be1 Amazing Presentation from both Simon and all the children. Great work kids. Keep it up! you did us proud!'
