Kipper's Toybox Week 5

This week, the children will be continuing their work on push/pull forces from last week. They will be sorting the toys according to how they are moved and the children will be making their own pop-up puppet.
To stimulate the children's talking and thinking, we will be doing a Patchwork Thinking Skill activity with a shopping based theme.
The children will be encouraged to use the Toy Catalogue to write their own shopping lists to use when they visit the Toy shop.
The children will be practising their knowledge of letter sounds when using 'Hairy Letters' on the iPad. They will be practising forming letters in trays of shaving foam.
Our Guided reading will be based on the book 'Pel Sam' with a focus on the language pattern 'Ble Mae...?
In the Sand, they will be hunting for 1p, 2p and 5p coins and counting how many of each they can find.
In the Water, they will be investigating floating and sinking with the toy boats.
In the Construction and Blocks, they will be making constructions to use prepositions with e.g making a bridge for the car to go over and the boat to go under, or using a tunnel for the train to go through.
