During the next two weeks, we will be doing some Role Play in the seaside cafe choosing from the menu, writing down orders and paying for our food. The children will also be using items from the seaside cafe to practise addition and subtraction.
The children will do a diamond ranking activity using objects from Barnaby's rucksack, where they will rank the objects in order of importance and justify their choices.
In the Water tray, they will be looking for the correct phoneme pebbles to spell different 'seaside' words.
Our Maths activity focuses on the story 'Mr Wolf's Week'. The children will be discussing what the weather is like on each day then they will be sequencing the days of the week.
After listening to the story 'Barnaby Bear to the Rescue', the children will be planning Barnaby's journey from Chester to Moel Famau and drawing their own map to show his journey. They will also be discussing healthy food and will draw and label healthy food in Barnaby's lunch box.
We will be looking at the clothes that Barnaby took with him on his journey and introducing the Welsh words for the clothes.
The children will be finding out about the mountain rescue team and will be doing some Role Play about them.
In PE, we will be using the Let's Move programme 'Safety First' and finding out about more people who help us.
