Last week we held our first KidsMeet at Cornist. We invited schools from around North Wales to our school. Each school brought four pupils to host a table and present in any way they wanted. Casllwchwr Primary School from South Wales also used FaceTime to join in and share their learning virtually. This was a fantastic opportunity to exchange ideas and inspire each other. All schools shared something digital that they were passionate about and had inspired their learning.
KidsMeet tables:
Cornist: Purple Mash and Code Club
Bryn Gwalia: App creation using Appshed
Ysgol Gwynedd: Making wikis using Hwb+
Broughton: eCadets
Casllwchwr: Hopscotch on the iPad
Ysgol Owen Jones: Using Morfo for biographies
We would like to say a massive thank you to all the schools involved and especially to Mike Elliot (@mikeondigital) and Alex Clewett (@aclewett) for their help with organising the event. Also thank you to 2Simple, eTreble9, Education City and Rising Stars for their sponsorship of the event. We have received lots of fantastic feedback from children and staff and hope to organise another one soon!
