World Cup fun in year two

By popular demand this half terms topic in year Two is World Cup

We had lots of  brain storming ideas.

They included:
Designing football kits
Match reports
Playing football games on the iPad: flic football and FIFA 14
Learning about the countries that are in the World Cup
Design a trophy
Make World Cup match attax/top trumps
Create player profile
Country fact file
Find out who has won the World Cup and when
Interview footballers
Play football
Wear football kits
Have a football party
Make flags out of Lego
Read football magazines
Have a class sweepstake.

We started our topic reading World Cup magazines, looking at what is in a magazine. Then we went
out to look at the power of advertising. What makes us buy a magazine. We thought it was an eye
catching front cover, pictures of our sporting heroes and of course a FREE GIFT!

Using the app Pic collage

we designed our own front covers
