Kipper's Toybox Week 6

During Small Group time this week, we will be introducing three more Jolly Phonics rhymes - g, o and u. The children will also be using an app called Hairy Letters on the iPad to practise the letter sounds they have learnt so far.
The children will try to write their own toy shopping lists again then use their list to buy the toys and pay for them using the correct coins. They will be practising coin recognition and adding pennies to get a total.
In the Water tray, they will look for the correct coins to cover their own coin card then count how many 1p, 2p, 5p and 10p coins they have collected.
In the Sand tray, they will use 2D and 3D shapes to build with. They will be encouraged to talk about the properties of the different shapes as they are constructing.
As the shaving foam activity from last week was enjoyed so much, we will repeat it this week!
The children will think about different qualities of a good friend and identify them on their sheet then they will think of one more to draw in the blank circle.
