Making connections with children in Florida

Last week Year Four were busy preparing to Skype a class in Lakeland, Florida to tell them how we celebrate Christmas and discover what they do at this time of year. We found it hard to imagine warm weather at Christmas but discovered that many of their Christmas traditions are similar to ours. They also told us that they start school at 8am and finish at 3.15pm which means they have a long school day!
